I-O Psychologist
At Bryq, we understand that a company’s culture isn’t just an internal compass—it’s the driving force behind collaboration, resilience, and long-term success. However, as organizations grow and face new challenges, their cultures can become misaligned with their evolving goals. That’s exactly what we faced at Bryq as we scaled our operations and reimagined our future.
Our cultural framework, once a perfect fit for a smaller, centralized team, began to hinder agility and innovation as we expanded. It became clear that minor tweaks wouldn’t suffice—our culture needed thoughtful recalibration. Here’s a glimpse into how we transformed our culture into a strategic asset that empowers our people and supports our mission.
Recognizing the Need for Change
As Bryq grew, we noticed that some aspects of our culture were creating friction. Processes that once fostered efficiency became bottlenecks, and norms that had guided us no longer aligned with our aspirations. Values that were well-meaning weren’t consistently guiding decisions or behaviors, creating misalignments that impacted agility and innovation.
We realized that our culture needed more than minor adjustments; it needed a full recalibration. This wasn’t about abandoning who we were—it was about reimagining how our culture could support who we aspired to become.
Our Approach to Cultural Transformation
The journey to recalibrate our culture wasn’t rushed or top-down. It was intentional, collaborative, and deeply rooted in the principles of Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Here’s how we approached it:
Gathering Insights from the Team
We started by listening. Anonymous surveys and feedback sessions helped us understand how employees experienced our culture, what was working, and what needed improvement. This data gave us a baseline for comparison and ensured our efforts were rooted in real experiences, not assumptions.
Leadership Alignment
To ensure that our vision for cultural transformation was cohesive, we engaged leadership in in-depth interviews. Their perspectives on what had worked and what hadn’t, along with their aspirations for the future, helped shape the cultural framework.
Defining Values and Behaviors
Based on the insights we gathered, we redefined our core values and paired them with clear, actionable behaviors. These behaviors became the bridge between our aspirations and day-to-day actions, helping employees live out the values meaningfully.
Rolling Out and Evaluating
Culture doesn’t change overnight. We implemented a thoughtful rollout plan, combining communication, training, and resources to ensure alignment at every level. Post-rollout surveys and continuous evaluation allowed us to measure the impact and make adjustments as needed.
The Result
Through this process, we created a cultural framework that is adaptable, inclusive, and forward-looking. At the heart of our new culture are three key values:
Guided by Customers: Putting our clients at the center of every decision.
Empowered to Own: Encouraging accountability, learning from mistakes, and fostering growth.
Move to Improve: Embracing adaptability, bold innovation, and decisive action.
These values have transformed how we work, collaborate, and grow as a team. They’ve created alignment across the organization and ensured that our culture remains a source of strength and resilience in a constantly changing world.

Recalibrating a company’s culture isn’t easy, but it’s one of the most impactful investments you can make in your organization’s success. At Bryq, our journey taught us that culture isn’t static—it’s a living, evolving asset that must grow alongside your team and goals.
