The Five Factor Model, also known as the Big Five personality traits, is a widely recognized framework for understanding human personality. It consists of five broad dimensions: Openness to Experience, Conscientiousness, Extraversion, Agreeableness, and Neuroticism, often remembered by the acronym OCEAN. These traits are measured on a continuum, allowing individuals to be characterized based on their levels of each trait, which can range from high to low. The Five Factor Model is commonly used in psychology, human resources, and organizational settings to predict behavior, improve team dynamics, and guide personal development by understanding how these traits influence interactions and performance.
